1-ENHANCED RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. RE-EXAMINE YOUR PLANS FOR THIS EVENING IF THE WEATHER DICTATES IT & MOST LIKELY IT WILL.

2- FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

3- Get our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. NWS advisories and warnings automatically come through it along with important information from us. You’re NOT prepared without it.

4- Yesterday’s power outage showed how unprepared some folks & businesses actually were. Take this time in the aftermath and come up with better planning for taking care of yourselves and your respective customers.  As you all know, this can happen ANYTIME so planning is extremely important. Be thinking about it for later today. It will get a little tense when storms arrive.

5- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Partly cloudy. A chance of thunderstorms early in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the afternoon. Some thunderstorms may be severe with damaging winds and large hail late in the afternoon. Locally heavy rainfall possible late in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s. South winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.

Tonight-Showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then showers and thunderstorms likely after midnight. Some thunderstorms may be severe with damaging winds and large hail. Locally heavy rainfall possible. Lows in the upper 60s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 80 percent.
