0330L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 3/15/25
WOW!! YESTERDAY WAS CRAZY FOR EVERYONE HERE AND IN THE STATE. Too many items to list but we’ll continue to monitor where fires were yesterday and respond to new calls and possibly send additional task force folks where needed. So far, we are not in any warning areas but conditions may warrant for some later today.
The FIRE DANGER will continue all week so use extreme caution if using anything related to fire. That said, The unfortunate accident east of Enid yesterday was due to blowing dust. If driving and you encounter dust now or snow in the wintertime and you see that it crossing the roads, slow down and stay very aware of what you’re driving into. Hopefully this won’t happen again.
Overall for now, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 50s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Cold with lows in the upper 20s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
Finally, many folks send me messages on messenger. For some reason they don’t go to my phone. I have messenger on my phone but these messages don’t reach me. This is why I don’t answer some messages for a while. I will try to get this figured out so I can answer a bit sooner than later.
I’ll post more info as it becomes available.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
