0345L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 03/02/24

*A Fire Weather Watch has been dropped for today and is in effect for Sunday at noon through midnight for Garfield and Grant Counties. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for counties to our west today and tomorrow.  We are under a Dense Fog Advisory until 10 am this morning.

* Winds will be increasing today so we ask that NO controlled burning take place today through Monday. It won’t take much for those to get out of control as we get into the afternoon hours and wind gusts increase 25-35 mph. Thank you in advance.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Areas of fog this morning. Sunny, breezy and not as cool with highs in the upper 70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph, increasing to 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph this afternoon.

Tonight- Mostly clear and breezy. Lows in the lower 50s. South winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
