0316L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 03/04/23

* We are expecting a cool front to push into the area this morning. Winds will become northeasterly. We do expect abundant sunshine so get outside and enjoy.

* Winds will shift back out of the south overnight and increase dramatically so be prepared for wind gusts upwards of 35 to 40 mph in the afternoon. Fire weather comes into play so we ask that NO CONTROLLED BURNING occur on SUNDAY. Tuesday through Thursday, we’ll have a chance for precip so we’ll see what happens.

* Overall, we’ll be ok, so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 40s. East winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming southeast with gusts up to 20 mph after midnight.
