0325L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/21/23

*There are some new graphics I want everyone to see from Norman so I am posting to social media today.

*Warm today thru Monday with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Winds today will be nominal but will begin to increase on Sunday thru the rest of the week.

*It appears that we MIGHT see some rainfall next week per guidance but there are still a few variables out there per timing, actual track, etc. If we do see rainfall, it could be substantial. We’ll have to wait and see.

* As stated before, the Fire Danger is increasing so be careful out there. Use caution when doing any controlled burning out in the county and be sure to call dispatch at 580-234-3473 to let them know you are conducting a burn. They’ll let us know. In Enid, you’ll need to get a permit from Enid Fire.

Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Saturday- Partly sunny. Highs in the mid-80s. North winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming east 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night- Mostly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Lows in the mid-50s. East winds around 10 mph.

*Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. Your not prepared without it.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
