0325L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 9/14/24

*With high temps looking to be in the mid-90s for the next seven days or so means you’ll need to use caution while working outdoors. We have a low chance for rain this morning as a trough moves through the area. This will add a bit of humidity to the mix so just stay weather aware and we all should be ok.  Keep your eyes peeled for smoke and fire out there. Portions of the county are now in an extreme drought along with the rest in a severe. Be careful.

*To be prepared for this fall storm season and winter, you’ll need this link to our Preparedness Guide online so you have some guidance on what to expect and how to be prepared.  https://gcem.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/FamilyPreparednessGuide2019.pdf

*This above information can also be found on our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. NWS warnings and advisories “automatically” come through our app in detail. Download it as soon as you can.  You’re not prepared without it.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning. Highs in the lower 90s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-60s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
