0430L-SATURDAY UPDATE FROM ENID/GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/22/18

IMPORTANT– If plan on traveling today, check road conditions at your destination BEFORE you leave. There is widespread flooding occurring due to heavy rains in various areas in the southeastern half of the state so pay attention while traveling. See graphics attached. There was some flooding in the Tulsa area too, so be careful over there.

1-At 0400 temps outside are in the 50’s. A bit chilly but it does feel good. Fall is here so enjoy.

2-There should be abundant sunshine so get outside at least for a while today.

3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight-Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 50s. Light and variable winds.

I received many rainfall totals from around the region meaning Oklahoma and Texas. Here in the Garfield County, it appears we received between ½ inch to 1 inch in the northern half and ¾ to just less than 2 inches in the southern half. Either way, it was a good soaking rain here.  Thanks for all the reports and be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You are NOT PREPARED without it!!

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
