0305L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 9/07/24
*PER GUIDANCE- Mild afternoons and cooler mornings over the weekend. No rain in close proximity for the next 5 days of more as it appears right now. We are under severe drought conditions so keep that in mind if doing controlled burning and if you smoke, don’t throw any lit items out of the windows of your vehicles.
*We are slowly migrating into fall and at least it appears this might be a gradual process this year. Some forecasts are calling for a hard winter and others are calling for a mild winter. Since we are heading into a La Nina pattern, I am going with a neutral decision that we’ll have our cold and warmer days but IF OUR PATTERN comes with more of a NW flow regime, we could see more ice related systems than snow. Who really knows for sure? I’ll let you know next spring. Hopefully we don’t have those ice issues. More on this tomorrow.
*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny. Highs in the lower 80s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-50s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.
Be sure and download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re NOT prepared without it.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
