0350L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-4/10/22

1- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Sunday-Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 80s. South winds around 20 mph, becoming northwest in the afternoon. Gusts up to 35 mph.

Sunday Night-Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows in the upper 40s. Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph. Some graphics weren’t updated as of 3:50am this morning.

2-Fire weather concerns will continue with warm temps and breezy conditions. We are expecting a front to push in late this morning or early this afternoon. Temps won’t be affected too much. The winds will be a bit crazy at first with gusts out of the north around 35 mph but they will settle down some as we move into the evening hours.

3- We have a low chance for thunderstorms early this evening as we are in a MARGINAL RISK area for severe weather. The best impact areas will be near I-35 and east. We’ll see where this mess comes together. Tuesday could be interesting! See the attached graphics.

4- Overall, we’ll be ok but keep in mind the Fire Danger. Report any smoke or fire to 911 so the proper response can be sent. Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re NOT PREPARED without it.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
