0300L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/24/23

*It’s Christmas Eve and it’s going be a wet and rainy day. Rain will taper off some as the day wears on as we await a cold front that should enter the area sometime this afternoon. Southerly winds will become westerly and then northwesterly with some gusts upwards of 30 mph. Temps overnight tonight will drop into the low to mid 30s. It doesn’t look like we’ll see any precip late tonight. We’ll see what happens.

*Christmas Day look very windy and mostly sunny so enjoy as best you can. Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. A chance of thunderstorms, mainly this morning. Highs in the upper 50s. Temperature falling into the lower 50s this afternoon. South winds around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, becoming west 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph this afternoon. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of rain showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Brisk and much colder with lows in the lower 30s. Northwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
