0350L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK AND INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT-12/29/19

1- We received around 1.6 inches of rainfall. A few areas were closer to 2 inches. This rainfall was needed but keep in mind that foliage out there is dead and will burn so be careful out there. The rainfall helped a little on the dry conditions but with no rainfall forecast for at least the next week or so and with fairly strong winds, we’ll drift back into those dry conditions pretty quickly. Call 911 if you see smoke or fire.

2- Cool/cold and windy will be the case for the next several days so wear a coat when you have to be outside. Make sure you have our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re not prepared without it and you’ll need it during the rest of the winter and into the springtime months.

3-Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Increasing clouds. Colder. Highs in the mid 40s. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph gusting upwards of 28 mph.

Tonight-Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 20s. West winds 10 to 15 mph gusting to 20 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
