0255L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT  06/02/24

*Convective activity at 0245L is not severe and is not expected to become severe this morning. The atmosphere is unstable but that kicking mechanism just isn’t present at this time. This afternoon may be different out along the dryline which will be in the middle of the Texas panhandle. Storms are expected to fire out west and move east. These will likely affect western and southern Oklahoma. In our neck of the woods, our storms tonight would come from the NNW along a front. We’ll wait and see how this develops. We will be in a MARGINAL/SLIGHT Risk for later today and tonight. We’ll see what happens.

Today- Mostly cloudy, then clearing. A chance of thunderstorms after midnight. A chance of showers. A slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs around 90. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Humid with lows in the upper 60s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.
