0320L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-6/25/23
* The heat is definitely back with the heat index yesterday reaching 103. We’ll be around 100 or so today so if you plan to be outdoors, stay hydrated and be careful out there. Summer heat is not new to Oklahoman’s but pace yourselves anyway. If you are outside and you notice that you’re NOT sweating during activities, other than swimming, you may be in the first stages of being in trouble due to heat exhaustion. Pay attention to your body and hopefully you’ll be ok.
*No rain in the forecast for today so again, be careful out there. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Sunday- Sunny. Highs in the lower 90s. Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Sunday Night- Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 60s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
*Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re not prepared without it!
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
