0320L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 6/5/22

1- ENHANCED RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER TONIGHT. We are in a MARGINAL RISK this morning and during the day. Damaging winds and hail are the main threats if storms do affect us both this morning and later tonight.

2- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Partly sunny. A chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning. Highs in the upper 80s. Southeast winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Tonight-Mostly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms. A chance of showers. Lows in the upper 60s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

3- The storms that “may” affect us this morning are moving southeast and have come out of SW Nebraska. A few of them are severe due to winds. They are moving SE at 35 mph. They may affect us if they continue to back-build to the SW so we’ll watch and advise accordingly.
