0350L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT  06/09/24

*GENERAL THUNDERSTORM RISK from 4pm today until 2am Monday morning. Chances are low that we’ll see any rainfall this afternoon and tonight. The higher risks will be south of us. Earlier this morning we came under a wind threat from outflow winds from storms in Kansas. Highest winds in OK were 58 mph at the MAY Ranch in Woods county. The Lahoma Mesonet site recorded winds of 40 mph and Breckinridge at 39 mph.

*We do have a 30% chance for showers this morning and we’ll be quite a bit cooler since this outflow/effective front pushed through. Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly this morning. Much cooler with highs in the lower 80s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

Tonight- Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows around 60. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
