0345L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-3/3/19

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON TODAY

WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM SUNDAY TO 9 AM MONDAY.

1) Snow started around 0300 local time and it’s snowing pretty heavy at 0330L. We are expecting 1 to 3 inches before it’s over so enjoy while you can. When getting out later today, drive carefully. You will have better traction with snow but it will pack down quickly and become slick. Just be careful.

2) As stated in our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app alert yesterday, the wind chill will be the dangerous issue today and tonight into Monday morning. Wind chill temps today will average around 0 to 10 degrees and as colder air moves in and the winds increase, the wind chill Monday morning may be near 10 below zero. Use EXTREME CAUTION if going outdoors.

3) Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
