0310L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 05/05/24

*Showers and thunderstorms will linger for a while this morning and possibly this afternoon. Not expecting anything severe here in the area today. Just periods of moderate rainfall along with the noise that thunderstorms bring. Overall, not too bad and we do need the rain.

*Monday will be a different story. We will be in a MODERATE RISK for severe weather with ALL HAZARDS possible. I won’t expound on this anymore until after our weather briefing with NWS/NORMAN this afternoon.

*Overall, we’ll be ok today so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Sunday- Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 10am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. East northeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday Night- A 20 percent chance of showers after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. Southeast wind around 9 mph.
