1- “RED FLAG WARNING” IS IN EFFECT FROM 1PM TODAY UNTIL 7PM THIS EVENING FOR NW AND NC OKLAHOMA. THIS INCLUDES GARFIELD COUNTY.
The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Red Flag Warning which is in effect from 1 PM to 7 PM CDT Today.
* TIMING…1 PM to 7 PM Sunday. * WINDS…Southwest 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…As low as 17 percent. * TEMPERATURES…Up to 95.
* IMPACTS…Any fires that start in this environment will be very difficult to control.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures will contribute to extreme fire behavior.
