0400L- SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/6/2020

1-Hot and windy today and again tomorrow before a cold front pushes into the region on Tuesday. We are expecting significantly colder weather and the possibility of severe weather as the front approaches. Winds could be an issue if they approach wind advisory criteria. Overall, we should be ok so we’ll see how all this mess comes together.

2-There are still a few questions concerning timing but it appears that the front will push through the area Tuesday morning. As stated in previous posts, coats and sweaters will be needed so don’t get caught out there without a way to stay warm. Some folks feel this isn’t that cold. It is when our bodies are acclimated to hotter weather. Just be prepared for colder weather.

3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Sunday-Sunny with a high near 93. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.

Sunday Night-Clear with a low around 71. South wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
