0350L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/5/2020

1- HOT TEMPS TODAY THROUGH MONDAY then the cold moves in. This would be a good time to get some winter clothes out and especially coats, jackets, and sweaters and freshen them up. This up and coming week will be cold after the front pushes through on Tuesday. We may even see some rain if models verify. SEE GRAPHICS attached for next week. These will change as forecasts update.

2- Winds will be shifting and increasing over the weekend as the front get closer. We could see WIND ADVISORY conditions on Sunday and Monday. With all of this, the FIRE DANGER will increase so keep your eyes peeled and call 911 if you see smoke or fire especially if the winds are gusty.

3- Overall, we’ll be ok today with just hot temps and light winds. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny. Highs in the lower 90s. South winds around 10 mph.

Tonight-Clear. Lows around 70. South winds around 10 mph.
