0255L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-8/31/23

*Today’s post can be found under GCEM Blog on the GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. It can also be found on the front page of our website at https://gcem.org

*Dry and warmer weather for the next 7 days. The heat & winds will gradually increase but it appears dew point temps will remain around the mid-50’s to low 60’s and humidity will average around 28 to 32%. This means it’ll feel hot but the atmosphere won’t be so oppressive. Either way its warming up and the fire danger is increasing. Use extreme caution if doing any burning. Be sure and let dispatch know you are conducting any controlled burns at 580-234-FIRE (3473). If you all see smoke or fire CALL 9-1-1.

 *Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the mid-90s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Clear. Lows in the mid-60s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
