0350L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-8/6/2020
1- MARGINAL RISK for possibly some severe weather later today into the overnight hours. If storm do occur, winds, hail, and torrential rainfall will be our main threats. Per guidance, models aren’t doing well in helping with forecasting so with storms in western Kansas moving east, they could dive southeast and give us some chances for rain during the morning hours. Overall, we’ll be ok so be prepared just in case. Be sure and download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app so you’ll have the right information to make good decisions for you and your family.
2- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today-20% chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 90s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight-Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the lower 70s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
MIKE
