0320L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 2/20/25

EXTREME COLD WARNING IN EFFECT THROUGH NOON TODAY.

We will be warming up slowly as the surface high moves off to the east. Today will still be cold but a warmup is coming. 20s today, 30s on Friday, upper 40s on Saturday, 50s on Sunday and finally, we could see temps in the 60s on Monday. We’ll see if this comes to pass. I am ready for warmer temps. Any kind of wind will make it seem colder so if the sun is out, go out, get some sunshine and stand or sit out of the wind.

Overall, we’ll be ok, just like an ice cube, so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny, cold with highs around 17. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Wind chill values as low as 12 below this morning.

Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly cloudy. Cold with lows around 3 above. East winds around 5 mph.

Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re better prepared with it than without it.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
