0315L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 2/19/25
EXTREME COLD WARNING IN EFFECT THROUGH 12PM ON THURSDAY.
At 0315, it’s 0 degrees with a 15 mph wind giving us a minus 19 wind chill. Not sure about you all but I don’t like feeling like an Eskimo. There will still be a few flurries around this morning and the “bitter cold” will hang around through Thursday then believe this or not, we could see highs in the upper 60s to low 70s by Monday!!!
Even if we see some sunshine today the arctic air will still present extreme frostbite conditions. Keep your skin covered and if the sun does come out today, you will need sunglasses. Roads are extremely slick out there so take your time and pay attention to your driving. Roads probably won’t get much better until we warm up a bit.
Overall, we’ll be ok, just like an ice cube, so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Partly sunny. A chance of flurries this morning. Cold with highs around 13. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Wind chill values as low as 23 below.
Tonight- Partly cloudy. Cold with lows around 1 below. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Wind chill values as low as 11 below.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
