FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

We are in a RED FLAG WARNING FROM 1000L (10 AM) THROUGH 2100L (9 PM) TONIGHT. WARM TEMPS, LOW HUMIDITY, AND GUSTY WINDS ARE THE MAIN ISSUES. If you see smoke or fire, report it immediately. Controlled burning is NOT ADVISED.

Several folks have complained about the NOAA alerts through our app. This channel is an automated feed for WARNINGS from the NWS. If you don’t want this on during the night, bring up the main page of our app. Tap the cog on the upper right corner, tap notification settings, scroll down to NOAA WEATHER ALERTS and simply turn it off. I would advise you to turn it back on after you get up. I wanted this feature to save me steps in the warning process but give you the ability to turn it off and on without a PIN number. Welcome to my world!! ALSO, if your phone isn’t set for automatic updates concerning any app, there is an update out for our app, GARFIELD COUNTY EM. Go to your app store and download it when you can.
