0330L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-02/09/23

* WOW, we received some pretty good rain and then some snow overnight. It wasn’t much but any precip we can get is a good thing. We are expecting a front to push in this morning bringing colder temps and strong winds with gusts upwards to around 30 mph.

*The FIRE DANGER will increase Friday thru Sunday with dryer conditions, low humidity, and strong winds.  If you see smoke or fire, call 911.

*Overall, we’ll be ok today so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Patchy fog possible early today then partly cloudy. Highs around 50. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph, increasing to northwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy. Isolated rain and snow showers in the evening. Cold with lows in the upper 20s. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of precipitation 20 percent.
