0300L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 1/16/25
*Today will be a nice day, temperature-wise, but just a little breezy starting this afternoon as a cold front approaches the area. That front will push in on Friday so enjoy the warmer temps before the arctic intrusion. After the cold front pushes in, arctic air will filter in thus lowering the high temps, starting late Saturday for the next 3 to 4 days, below freezing. Wind chill will become the main issue so make sure you are prepared for colder than normal temps.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny. Highs in the mid-50s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming southwest this afternoon.
Tonight- Clear. Lows in the mid-30s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph after midnight.
