0315L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-7/20/23

*No Heat advisory so far for today as we look to be a little cooler in our area, We are expecting a front to push in but we really won’t feel that effect until later this evening. It will bring an opportunity for showers and thunderstorms. Then later tonight, storms that formed out in the high plains of Colorado/Western Kansas will make it into the area between 11pm and 2 am with a strong chance for some heavy weather. We are in a SLIGHT RISK AREA for severe weather late tonight so we’ll deal with it when it happens.

*Overall, we’ll be ok but stay weather aware since we will have some storms this morning just to our north. Some could pop into the area and surprise us. This said, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
