0310L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 6/20/24

*HEAT is coming. Today, we’ll be around 90. Friday in the mid-90’s, Saturday, upper 90’s and Sunday starts us in the 100 to 105 range. Add humidity and this will up our HEAT INDEX. Folks, prepare for the heat. Keep in mind that it’s summertime and it gets hot. Take the proper precautions to stay cool and if you start to feel weak or dizzy while working outdoors, TAKE A BREAK! If it’s really bad, call 911.

*Winds should be roughly 5-15 mph except for Saturday and Tuesday where wind gusts could be upwards of 20-25 mph. Overall, we’ll be ok, just a bit toasty. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
