0305L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 03/28/24

*With south winds returning, warmer temps are in the picture and we will continue to gradually warm up. The winds will increase as the day moves forward so we’ll see some gusts upwards of 30 mph from later today into tonight.

*With winds and temps increasing, the fire danger will increase some, so if you see smoke or fire, call 911. Controlled burning is not advised if gusts are over 15mph.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Patchy fog this morning. Sunny. Not as cool with highs in the upper 60s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph gusting to 25 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Not as cool with lows around 50. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
