0305L- THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 5/1/25

MARGINAL RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER later today into the evening and overnight hours but we’ll also have a chance for showers early this morning. The higher risk should be south of us but as always, just be prepared. If we do see storms here later today, hail and winds would be the main threats.

Overall, we’ll be ok. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Today- Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid-70s. West winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming northwest this afternoon.

Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly cloudy. A chance of thunderstorms. A chance of showers in the evening, then showers likely after midnight. Lows in the mid-50s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Finally, any area that holds water will probably become a mosquito haven as we warm up. Keep an eye out for this and pick up some Mosquito dunks. These will help in that control mechanism. Believe it or not, they are already around.
