* We are in a SLIGHT RISK area for severe weather this afternoon into the evening hours. ALL hazards are possible. See and read the first graph attached. It will be windy early this afternoon with some gusts upwards of 30 mph. If storms do occur, high winds will be possible so secure anything that could take flight.
*Overall, we should be ok but we’ll keep that eye to the sky. Spotters will be put on stand-by early this afternoon just in case they are needed. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Mostly cloudy this morning, then mostly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the mid-80s. Southeast winds around 5 mph, increasing to 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph this afternoon. Chance of rain 40 percent.
Tonight- Partly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Some thunderstorms may be severe. Lows in the mid-60s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.
