0350L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/10/19

GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our notification app. If you don’t have it, you WILL need it this winter.

1- We didn’t receive very much rain but the lightning show was cool! Per guidance, we MIGHT see some storm activity as the front moves in this afternoon. Attached is a radar pic from the Dodge City radar at 0335 local time of the front’s location just coming into Dodge City, Kansas.

2- Folks, it’s going to get cold and we will be SOMEWHERE in the 30’s Friday Morning so dress accordingly. Don’t wear shorts and a coat around me and state that you’re cold. I may have a few words of wisdom for you. 🙂

3- I look at this as at least the humidity will be gone for a little while. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Thursday- 40% chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid-70s. Temperatures falling into the upper 40s in the afternoon. Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph shifting to the northwest in the afternoon.

Thursday Night-Partly cloudy. 30% chance of rain showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening. Much colder with lows in the upper 30s. North winds 15 to 20 mph.

STAY SAFE AND HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
