0315L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 10/09/24

*Warm temps will continue with a slight chance for rain late tonight into Thursday morning. This is due to a trough along with the low level jet firing up later today into tonight. It won’t give us much rain but some is better than none.  Temps will average around 90 for highs until Sunday when a strong cold front will push in lowering our high temps to around 80. Monday’s highs could be in the upper 60s with lows in the 40s.

*The above will be that big jump to lower temps. Rain will still be scarce but it will cool down. The fire danger again will be elevated so use extreme caution while using anything related to fire. If you make a mistake or if you see smoke or fire, call 911.

*Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs around 90. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear in the evening, then partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows around 60. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
