0315L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 9/12/24

*A slow warmup to above average temps basically starts on Friday. We will see temps climb into the upper 90s by Saturday and last into at least mid-week. I guess summer isn’t ready to give up yet. Until then, we’ll be fairly warm with temps around 90 with winds around 10-15 mph.

*I know I have discussed winter weather here lately but before we get there, we’ll have our fall storm season. I would highly advise everyone to review your severe weather plans. Many folks state that they are ready for anything. When anything happens, they are the first to call and ask; WHAT DO I DO?? It’s my job to get info out there for you to read, study and utilize. It’s YOUR job to come up with your plan.  Here is a link to our Preparedness Guide online so you have some guidance on what to do.  https://gcem.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/FamilyPreparednessGuide2019.pdf

This information is also on our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. NWS warnings and advisories automatically come through our app IN DETAIL when anything is going on. Download it as you’re NOT prepared without it.

*Overall, we’ll be alright so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs around 90. South winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Clear. Lows in the lower 60s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
