0321L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-4/19/22

1- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Partly sunny with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Breezy with highs in the upper 60s. Southeast winds 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

Tonight-Mostly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms in the evening, then a chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Breezy and not as cool with lows in the mid-50s. South winds 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

2- A shortwave trough will move through the area today giving us a chance for some thunderstorm activity. Not much moisture to work with but any chance for rain we’ll take as of right now. Severe weather is not expected but storms, if they occur, will be elevated in nature so a hail threat MIGHT exist if deeper moisture can move in later tonight.

3- Overall, we’ll be ok so we’ll watch and advise. Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You are best prepared with it than without it.
