0310L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 4/26/23

*It’s actually raining! This is typical as we are in an extreme drought and now, we have received 2.5 inches of rainfall since yesterday morning. This will help some on the drought monitor. We’ll have to see how they figure this moisture into that formula.

*If you are planning to travel south, the severe threat will be in north Texas and southern Oklahoma. Stay weather aware if you do travel that way. For us, there is a slight chance of a thunderstorm during the day but severe weather chances are low. It will continue to rain so be careful, especially in low lying areas where some flooding could occur. County roads will be muddy so use extra caution on those too.

* Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms this morning, then showers with a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the mid-50s. East winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent.

Tonight- A chance of thunderstorms. Showers. Lows in the mid-40s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
