0415L-TUESDAY UPDATE FROM ENID/GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-4/3/18

1-A RED FLAG WARNING has been issued for the western 1/3rd of the state. If traveling west, be extremely careful. It does border Garfield County so keep your eyes peeled just in case. The red flag warnings go up into Kansas so if traveling that way, be careful too.

2- WIND ADVISORY STILL IN EFFECT UNTIL 7PM TONIGHT.

3-FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT UNTIL 10 AM WEDNESDAY MORNING.

4- The front hasn’t made it into the area yet but per guidance, should arrive abruptly sometime this morning. The front will push the moisture out and will shift strong southerly winds from the south to the northwest.

5- The main issue today will be the winds. Wind gusts can take you by surprise so be careful especially while driving. If you drive a semi, be very cautious on east/west roads.

6- Folks, don’t text and drive. It’s alarming to continue to see folks doing this. Hopefully, you don’t cause an accident.

7- Here is your forecast for today;

Today-partly cloudy and windy. Highs in the upper 50s. Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

Tonight- Clear and much colder.  Lows in the lower 20s. North winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.
