0300- TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 04/09/24

*Download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’ll receive info from us and the NWS in detail.

*The word CHANCE is in the vocabulary today as that chance for rain is out there. A very low chance early this morning and a slight chance comes into play later this afternoon into tonight where that changes to a likely chance after 10pm. We’ll have to wait and see if this actually comes to pass. Southern Oklahoma stands the better chance for severe weather. If traveling down that way, stay weather aware.

*For our area, we’ll wait and see what might materialize. Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Partly sunny this morning. Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers this afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, increasing to 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Tonight- Showers likely with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the upper 40s. Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
