0320L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-8/17/21

1- Hot and humid conditions will continue today with that chance for rain. Severe weather isn’t expected but if it occurs, it would be due to winds most likely from collapsing storms. If any storms do occur, the other issue would be localized flooding as these storms would be moving very slowly if at all. Timing for any storms appears to be from mid-afternoon into the early evening hours. Overall, we’ll be ok just keep an eye out for storms and watch out for lightning.

Tuesday-Partly cloudy with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 90s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of thunderstorms 20 percent.

Tuesday Night-Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 60s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.
