0315L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 8/20/24

*COOLER air has moved in. It may not seem like the low 90’s is cool but since we have dealt with heat index temps between 105 to 112 a good part of the summer, low 90’s feels cool. Enjoy this because we will warm back up for a while. Before long, the cold will be a point of concern.

*Summer will be winding down as we move forward in time. How long can you sustain yourself and your family if something major were to occur? Think hard about this as it isn’t out of the question that bad things can happen and you could be stranded either at home or out in the middle of nowhere. Food could become scarce. What would you do? Additional information on this as we move towards winter.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 90s. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows around 70. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

*Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re not prepared without it.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
