0325L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/19/23

*Winds will be increasing with some gusts upwards of 35 mph today and tomorrow. We have a storm system enroute and the pressure gradient is tightening. This will also bring in gulf moisture so it may feel a little humid as the day moves forward. Rain is also in the forecast starting early Thursday morning and mostly lasting through Sunday. There will be periods of no rainfall but rest assured that we’ll see another inch or so of rainfall by Christmas Day. The Fire Danger will increase some out west so be careful out there.

*Overall, we’ll be ok, just wind blown once again. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Partly sunny and breezy. Highs in the mid-50s. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy. Lows in the lower 40s. South winds around 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

**WARNING- THEFT is on the rise especially in parking lots. Make sure you lock your cars while inside shopping and stay aware of what’s happening around you. If you see suspicious activity, call 911 immediately.
