0300L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/18/23

** We will be SILENT TESTING our electronic voice siren system for the remainder of winter. Normal siren testing will resume in March.

*A cold front has traversed the area overnight bringing with it northerly winds and cooler air. Winds will be light for the most part and begin to transition back to southerly later today. Warmer temps expected tomorrow but we’ll have increasing winds. Enjoy the day as this will be a not so windy day.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the upper 40s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Cold with lows in the upper 20s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

*INFORMATION: Starting in early January, I will be starting a PREPAREDNESS/AWARENESS Series that I hope most of you will at least read. Most folks feel they’re ready for virtually anything and in reality, they’re nowhere close. Most folks state it won’t happen here. You would be surprised what actually does happen around the area. You’ll learn a lot more as we move into the new year of 2024. More on this later.

*Download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app as this is extremely important now for all of Garfield County and the surrounding area. Download Enid’s CITY CONNECT app as it grows for the citizens here in Enid.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
