FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

There are many questions in the air about the weather this Christmas weekend. RAIN as it looks right now. There are several fronts that will affect the area one of which will be today and ANOTHER on Wednesday then we start to look harder at the weekend. The fronts will basically be windshifts and then southerly winds will prevail. Moisture will return later in the week and unless a major cold event occurs from the north, we’ll see possibly rain and maybe a thunderstorm. It’s really still a little early to state for sure so just stay weather aware and stay up with the latest forecasts from the NWS.
That said, we’ll keep an eye out and keep you advised.
Weatherwise, here is your forecast for today from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny, with a high near 45. South wind 6 to 8 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon.
Tonight-Mostly clear, with a low around 25. West wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable.

DRIVE CAREFULLY AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
