FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

Christmas will be here Sunday. We have a low chance for possibly some severe weather “if” parameters come together. It’s 5 days out including today and a lot can happen between now and then. We can just about rule out any snowstorms since we will be in the 50’s and 60’s over the weekend too. That said, the main threat if storms occur, will be the WINDS.
We will have a cold front move though today and we will cool down a little. No big deal for us at this time. Tomorrow night, THURSDAY, there is chance for some light winter weather out west. Don’t think it will happen here right now but don’t freak out if you see a stray snowflake or ice pellet. We’ll be ok. See GRAPH BELOW.

All this said, the forecast will change several times between now and Sunday so stay weather aware with us and the NWS. Now is a good time to get our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app downloaded!!

Your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny, with a high near 52. South wind 5 to 13 mph becoming north in the afternoon.
 Tonight-Mostly clear, with a low around 27. North northwest wind 8 to 10 mph.

Have a super day!!
