FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
Good morning,
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY TO EVERYONE!

We received a little rain yesterday and even though it won’t kill the drought and fire danger, we really needed the moisture. Hopefully we see some more in the next 5-8 days. That said I am in OKC for the National Tornado Summit getting all sorts of new ideas on how to convey to public officials and residents the importance of Preparedness. Believe it or not, preparedness is not only personal; it’s also of community importance. I will be talking about this and several other topics between now and spring. Many of you are tired of hearing about this but I will continue to pester you all as long as I can. You know me, WHAT IF??

For now, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tuesday-40 percent chance of showers, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 50. North wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
 Tuesday Night-Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 30. North wind 8 to 11 mph.

Finally, now is a good time to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. It’s free and according to several folks, it’s already saved a few lives.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
MIKE
