FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

Good morning,

I am really happy about all the rain that we received over the last few days. What is funny is to listen to folks gripe about it. Being in OKC for this summit and sitting through classroom lectures you have that opportunity to listen to many folks talk about things before class begins. I couldn’t believe so many people were not happy with this rain. Maybe because their hair got wet; I don’t have that problem. Maybe their clothes got wet too; that’s what umbrellas are for; I actually brought one. I didn’t use it, I wore a stocking cap instead, warmth over wetness. Anyway, it’s always fun for me to just listen to folks and I actually just listened this time and kept my 3 cents to myself. It’s safer that way.

The summit ends today and I will come home with lots of ideas. Hopefully we can put a few of these to work. I will share many of these with you all soon and I may even call a meeting or two with you, the public, and get your ideas on a few things. That said we will be warming up after today so get ready for spring like conditions over the next several days.

Weather-wise, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday-Sunny, with a high near 54. North northwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 34. South southwest wind 3 to 8 mph.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
MIKE
