0330L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-01/24/23

* WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY TODAY FROM 6AM UNTIL 6AM WEDNESDAY MORNING. Snow accumulations of around 1 to 3 inches are possible. There has been some changes in the model guidance overnight but the forecast will remain about the same. The system seems to have slowed down a little so we may see impacts from this around the 8 to noon timeframe. This may vary too.

* It’s impossible to state where the worst will actually be but forecasters have done a good job setting up the approximate areas that could be affected. FOR US HERE IN GARFIELD COUNTY, we might see 1 to 4 inches or possibly less. When storm systems slow down, they could wobble a little and thus our impacts might be more or less. It’s best that you be prepared just in case.

* Our forecast high today is around 35 degrees so we will border on a rain/snow situation. Drive carefully and put those cell phones down.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Snow, rain. Snow accumulation up to 1 inch. Highs in the mid-30s. East winds around 5 mph, becoming northeast this afternoon. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.

Tonight- Snow, mainly in the evening. Total snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches. Cold. Near steady temperature in the lower 30s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
