0250L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 1/7/25

*Another bitter cold morning but there is hope! We’ll make it up into the upper 20’s with lighter winds today. We should have high temps in mostly the 30’s for the rest of the week. There is another storm system that MIGHT affect the southern part of the state putting us on the northern periphery for light snow. Many variables there and the models are still all over the place. That said, we may see additional snow Thursday into Friday and then again, we may not. We’ll see. Just remember that it’s winter and these events are sometimes difficult to forecast several days out. Just get outside, out of the wind, and enjoy the sunshine. Spring will be here soon enough, bringing that threat for severe weather. FUN, FUN.

Overall, we’ll be ok today. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny, cold with highs in the upper 20s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Wind chill values as low as 3 below this morning.

Tonight- Partly cloudy. Cold with lows around 11. North winds 5 to 10 mph.
