0300L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 1/8/25
*Sunny skies for today while we get ready for the next wave of winter weather. Will it snow again? MAYBE. Models are still all over the place but per guidance from Norman and Wichita as of 0245 this morning tells me that we’ll probably have a 30% chance for maybe an inch or less of snow. This said, Everything is up in the air as the actual storm track continues to vary with each update. Right now, and this will change, we may see additional snow or we may not. Either way, it will remain cold so for now, stay warm and we’ll see what happens. By the way, Thursday afternoon and evening is the time frame for the next system.
Overall, we’ll be ok. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny. Highs in the mid-30s. Northwest winds around 5 mph, becoming west this afternoon.
Tonight- Mostly clear. Cold with lows in the lower 20s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.
Download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re not prepared without it.
FINALLY, I will send out an update if anything changes that affects our area.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
